该剧改编自同名漫画《我的妈妈是校花》，讲述了大学生孔小灿（蒋龙 饰）得知妈妈孔桂芳（刘琳 饰）身患绝症后，毅然决然与外星人做交易，通过“生命能量”互换，让45岁的母亲重拾20岁孔桂芳（邓恩熙 饰）的青春容颜，开启崭新人生旅程的故事。
