10 years after Martin Shaw turned the beloved Inspector Gently novels into a hit BBC One TV series, filming has begun on two final feature-length episodes. Back in action one last time will be Shaw as the eponymous inspector, who is tested like never before just as he winds down his career. In the first of two films - Gently Liberated - the inspector and his trusted allies Bacchus (Lee Ingleby) and Coles (Lisa McGrillis) are brought in to investigate a possible "miscarriage of justice". However, their final case in Gently and the New Age has the Met's new Special Investigations Squad boss Lister bringing in the inspector to investigate high levels of corruption within the force. Both of these mini-movies will be set in 1970, as the women's liberation movement and the rise of the Conservative Party bring clashing values to Britain.
遺体や遺品に触れると死者の魂のイメージが脳内に浮かぶ特殊能力＝フラッシュバックを持つ刑事と、AI（人工知能）開発でノーベル賞を教授に横取りされた先端科学研究所の研究員がバディを組み、猟奇殺人事件の裏に潜む「歴史の真実」を暴いていくサスペンスエンターテイメントドラマ。成田が特殊能力を持つ刑事・加々美稜真（かがみりょうま）役、高梨が先端研の天才研究員・轟日見子（とどろきひみこ）役を演じる。
女優の石原さとみ（２３）が、テレビ朝日系日曜ナイトドラマ「霊能力者 小田霧響子の嘘」（１０月スタート・後１１時）で、２年半ぶりに連続ドラマに主演することが２５日、分かった。 同ドラマは「ライアーゲーム」の甲斐谷忍氏の同名コミックが原作。０７年からビジネスジャンプで連載中。石原が演じるのは霊能力はゼロという偽物ながら、人を救うためなら、どんなウソでもつくという型破りなヒロインだ。コミック版の響子は胸元を強調した大胆なセクシードレスを着こなす。石原は露出度こそ高くないものの、ド派手なドレスをまとい、普段の地味な響子から、ぶっちゃけた性格のニセ霊能力者・響子へ“変身”を遂げるという。 連ドラ主演は、０８年４月クールの「パズル」（テレビ朝日系）以来、約２年半ぶり４度目。石原は「“オダキョー”の変身ぶりに今からワクワクしている。笑いと優しさとスリルを感じて週を締めくくって！ 伸び伸びと頑張りたい」と自然体で臨むつもりだ。 谷原章介（３８）が響子とともに超常現象の謎に挑む谷口一郎役で初共演。「役によってガラリと印象が変わる稀有（けう）な女優。間近でそれを見られるのがうれしい」と楽しみにしている。
